Just less than a week after inking a sponsorship deal with the 2016 FIM Asia Supermoto Championship, Indonesian-based helmet company KYT has agreed to expand on its offer and further extend the company’s support towards the championship. The rider with the highest points by the end of this year’s season will not only be crowned the 2016 overall champion, but will also be entitled to a fully sponsored trip, courtesy of KYT, to participate in an international supermoto event as a wildcard rider.
Noriyuki Kawai, Representative Director of KYT Japan
“The FIM Asia Supermoto Championship is a great platform for young riders to shine and be recognized outside of their own country. Our goal of forming a partnership with the championship is not only to strengthen our brand in the Asian market, but to also help nurture and produce promising supermoto talents from across the Asian region to compete on an international stage. Therefore, we have decided to sponsor this year’s winner to travel overseas and be part of an international race. The only condition required from the rider is that he represents the KYT brand. In any case of a contractual conflict with another helmet brand that the rider may be representing, we will award the sponsorship to the next rider with the highest points.”
Satheswaran Mayachandran, CEO of Asia Supersports Group
“We couldn’t be more excited to receive such a tremendous offer from KYT. I speak on behalf of everyone here at Asia Supersports Group including this season’s riders when I say that we are truly honoured and grateful for the support that KYT has offered us. With this announcement, the bar for this season has officially been raised and there will be more on the line than just the championship trophy for the riders. We hope this will attract more riders to sign up and participate in this year’s championship.”
